Blazers Clinch Quarterfinal Debut

Nashua, NH - The Blazers field hockey captured another conference matchup win against Rivier University with a score of 3-2.


THE BASICS:
SCORE: Elms 3, Rivier 2
RECORDS: Elms (8-8, 7-4 GNAC), Rivier (7-8, 6-5 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Raiders got on the board first just 9:40 into the contest on an unassisted goal.

The second quarter started a three unanswered goal streak for Elms. Carissa Ramirez (San Diego, CA) netted the only goal in the second quarter. She lifted it off the ground just past the Raider keeper's blocker. Katie Jones (San Diego, CA) and Ellie Serra (Palmer, MA) broke the tie and added to the Blazer's lead in the third quarter.

The Raiders would get one more on the board in the fourth quarter with just under four minutes left to play. The Blazers held them off to clinch the victory
