Blazers Drop to Union

Blazers Drop to Union

Schenectady, NY – The Elms Blazers field hockey team dropped their non-conference road game against Union College yesterday late afternoon, 0-4.

THE BASICS:

SCORE: Elms 0 | Simmons 2
RECORDS: Elms (3-4-0, 3-2-0 GNAC)

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

Carissa Ramirez and Erin Thibodeau both saw scoring opportunities.

Nora Newman finished the day with ten saves.

FROM THE DESK OF COACH LAPAR:

"Battle, battle, battle... if you ask me, I have the best players out there. Every game my players show up, work hard, dig deep and give every opponent a run for their money, even more so in the past couple of games. Union was no different. Despite being down a player, we had good scoring opportunities, including a breakaway and a near miss on the back post. You hope that most days those go in. As we got tired, our team defense got smarter and our attacking mindset got stronger. Five out of six of our last games are conference and our eyes are on making an impact in GNAC."

UP NEXT:

- The Blazers hit the road to visit conference opponent Saint Joseph's College for a 12PM start on Saturday, 10/10.
