Blazers Fall to JWU

Providence, RI – The Elms College women's field hockey dropped their road game to Johnson and Wales, Saturday ending in a 0-4 score.

THE BASICS:

SCORE: Elms 0 | JWU 4
RECORDS: Elms (4-5-0, 3-3-0 GNAC) | Johnson and Wales (7-3-0, 3-1-0  GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

 

The Blazers got off to a quick start, registering two shots, one of them being a shot on goal by Carissa Ramirez in the scoreless first quarter. At the half Johnson and Wales had a two point lead over the Blazers.

In the third quarter, Nora Newman shut out the Wildcats by making four saves and Cierra Brundage making a defensive save.

In the fourth quarter, the Blazers tried to hold off the Wildcats with Nora Newman making 6 more saves.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

Elizabeth Collins and Carissa Ramirez saw shots on the day.

Nora Newman finished the day with eleven saves.

 

UP NEXT:

- The Blazers will be on the road, traveling to Union College on Wednesday 10/6, in non-conference action for a 6PM start.
