Blazers Tab Another GNAC Win

Paxton, MA – The Elms Blazers field hockey team tabbed another GNAC win yesterday against the Anna Maria AMCATS in a 1-0 win.

THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:

After a scoreless first quarter, Elms senior forward Snejana Lashtur (Greenfield, MA) got the Blazers on the board with a well-placed shot in the 19^th minute of the game on an unassisted play. It was her first goal of the season, and would prove to be the sole goal of the game.

Anna Maria junior goalkeeper Hannah Tobey (Falmouth, MA) finished with four saves in net.

Elms junior goalkeeper Nora Newman (Woburn, MA) picked up the shutout win with four stops.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

- Snejana Lashtur, Elizabeth Collins, Katie Jones, Carissa Ramirez and Sam Bonneau all saw shots on the day.

- Nora Newman finished the day with four saves.
