HOW IT HAPPENED:

The first period remained scoreless until just 1:24 remained on the clock when, after a penalty corner, Carissa Ramirez of Elms corralled her own rebound and fed Ellie Serra for the first goal of the contest. Regis quickly responded with its own scoring chance, but a shot was turned away by Blazer goalie Nora Newman.

With 4:26 remaining before halftime, Regis gained a penalty stroke opportunity cutting the Elms lead to 3-1 heading into halftime.

The Blazers pulled away in the second half thanks to a third period goal by Katie Jones as well as fourth period tallies from Victoria Accorsi and Ramirez, completing her hat trick. Ramirez led all players with nine total shots, while Jones finished with seven shots for the Blazers.
