HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 1
Saint Norbert would put themselves on the scoreboard first, after capitalizing on a throwing error in the top of the first inning. But the Blazers would respond with three runs in the bottom of the third; senior AJ Cook (Mendon, MA) would score off of a RBI-double by senior Seamus Higgins (Rutland, MA), Higgins would score after a single by graduate student Tyler Galenski (Wilbraham, MA), and sophomore Chase Prestia (Newington, CT) would drive in senior Josh Nohilly (Bristol, CT). Elms would hold off the Green Knights for the remainder of the contest, securing Game One, with help from sophomore Gino Tarantino (Trumbull, CT) and senior Kyle Sebastyanski (Auburn, MA). Tarantino would start for the Blazers and pitched four strikeouts and allowed two hits during his two innings on the mound. Sebastyanski threw two strikeouts against 19 batters during his five innings on the hill for Elms.

Game 2
The second matchup saw a similar start, but Saint Norbert would score a total of six runs in the bottom half of the first inning. In the top of third inning, graduate student Josh Pasini (Enfield, CT) would hit a grand slam, driving in Galenski, Higgins, and Cook to cut the Green Knights lead to two runs, but Saint Norbert was able to tally a run later that inning. The Blazers were able to tie up the ball game at seven-all; when Pasini reached base on an error, bringing in Cook, then Nohilly drove in Higgins with an RBI-single, and senior Justin Miller (Prospect, CT) recorded an RBI-single of his own to bring Pasini home. But in the bottom of the fifth inning, the Green Knights were able to regain the lead, extend their lead to 11, and secure Game Two to split the day.
