Five Blazers Named on GNAC All-Conference Baseball Teams

Chicopee, MA – The Elms College baseball team had five players selected to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Teams. The Blazers had two on the 2nd team, one on 3rd team, as well as the All-Rookie Team and Sportsmanship Team.

Tyler Galenski (Wilbraham, MA) was selected to the 2nd team. He led the Blazers all year in hitting with a .367 AVG, .432 OBP and .469 SLG. Galenski also led Elms with 27 RBI's while only striking out 5 times all year. His .367 batting average ranked him 6th in the GNAC.

CJ Kuentzel (Albany, NY) was selected to the 2nd team. Kuentzel was a force on the mound for the Blazers. Kuentzel's 3.30 ERA was good enough for 3rd in the GNAC. He was huge down the stretch for Elms and finished his rookie year 4-1.

George Chaya (Mathuen, MA) was selected to the 3nd team as well as the All-Rookie Team. He was the Blazers' hottest hitter when it counted the most. Chaya finished the season with .310 AVG, .391 OBP and .407 SLG. Chaya also led the Blazers with 15 stolen bases which ranked 3rd in the GNAC.

Alex DelCampo (Groton, CT) was selected to the All-Rookie Team. DelCampo finished his rookie year with a .277 AVG, .419 OBP and a .309 SLG. He also pitched in with 13 stolen bases.

CJ Moriarty (Groton, CT) was picked by the Elms coaching staff to represent the Blazers on the All-Sportsmanship Team.
