Lebron, Witaszek Earn NECC Weekly Honors

ATTLEBORO, Mass. - Elms College sophomore setter Daniel Lebron (San Juan, Puerto Rico) was named New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Week in men's volleyball and sophomore first baseman Ally Witaszek (Feeding Hills, Mass.) was named NECC Player of the Week in softball as announced by the league on Monday.

Lebron averaged 11.25 assists per set (90 total) including a collegiate career-high 52 assists in a 3-1 win over Lasell. He also added eight kills, two aces, two assisted blocks and a total of 14 digs during Elms' 2-0 week. This is his first weekly award of the season.

Witaszek hit .667 in three of Elms' first four games this season including a 4 for 4 effort with a double against Mount Mary College. She also drove in three runs in that game to help her secure her first weekly award of the season.
