Blazer Athletic Philosophy
 

The Elms College Blazer Athletic Family conducts a highly competitive broad-based NCAA Division III sports program for men and women. This program is an integral part of the College’s Mission and its Core Values. The Blazer Athletic Family is committed to diversity, equity, fair play, and the ideals of sports participation. The focus of this athletic program is on the STUDENT-athlete and overall development in these three areas: Academics, Athletics, and Leadership.
 
 
The successes enjoyed in this program are directly related to the commitment put forth by all members of the Blazer Athletic Family including STUDENT-athletes, coaches, trainers, administration, and staff. This commitment is referred to as “The BLAZER Way.”
 
At Elms College, athletics are co-curricular not extracurricular. Athletics aid in the development of self and in the attainment of goals by placing STUDENT-athletes into the competitive situation. Elms College supports holistic education which recognizes knowledge is gained intellectually, spiritually, and physically; in other words, educating the entire person. Success in athletics, as in society, depends upon 
 
GNAC Mission Statement
The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) is an NCAA Division III association made up of 13 member institutions and over 3,000 student-athletes across the New England region. Founded in 1995, the GNAC annually sponsors and administers 20 championships, while balancing academic integrity, athletic opportunity and community involvement in an effort to enhance the student-athlete experience.
