Bio

Denisha Parks was a four-year member of the Elms College Women’s Basketball team from 2011-2015, a two-year captain, and the most decorated women’s basketball player in the program’s history.

Denisha was chosen as the NECC Rookie of the Week nine times, NEWBA Rookie of the Week seven times, and named NECC, NEWBA and ECAC Division III New England Rookie of the Year. Denisha led the program to the first-ever NECC Championship and the program’s first appearance in the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament her Freshman year.

As a Sophomore, Denisha was named to the NECC All-tournament team, was a NECC first team selection and D3hoops.com All-Northeast Region fourth team. In Denisha’s junior year, she was named the NECC Player of the Year after leading the league in points per game with 22.8 and rebounds per game with 12.7. She was selected to the D3hoops.com All Northeast Region third team and the ECAC Division III second team New England All Star.

During Denisha’s senior season, she surpassed the 2,000 point plateau and the 1,000 rebound plateau, led the NECC in scoring with 21.4 points per game. She was again named NECC Player of the Year and was a first team selection. Denisha was selected to the ECAC Division III third team New England All Star and selected to participate in the 2015 NEWBA Senior All-Star Classic.

Denisha left the program owning 11 program records: career points, rebounds, steals, free throws and field goals made, points in a game, field goals attempted, free throws, field goals and points made in a season, and field goals attempted in a season.
