Bio

Erika Murphy was a member of the Elms College women’s basketball team from 2010-12. She was a two-time first-team All-New England Collegiate Conference selection, earning the recognition in 2011 and 2012.

At the time of induction, Murphy ranks in the program’s all-time top-10 in several categories. She ranks third in career free throw percentage (77.3), fifth in scoring average (14.6), sixth in field goal percentage, ninth in rebounds (547), 10th in steals (114) and tied for 10th in blocks (24). Her 63 steals in 2011-12 stand as a single-season program record.

Murphy was selected to the 2012 NECC All-Tournament team after helping the Blazers win the conference championship and advance to the 2012 NCAA Division III Tournament. She went on to participate in the NEWBA Senior All-Star Classic. She was a four-time NECC Rookie of the Week in 2010-11 and also earned NECC Player of the Week honors once during her career.

Murphy also competed in volleyball and lacrosse for the Blazers. She was the primary setter and led the volleyball team with 283 assists in 2012 and was one of the best defensive players on the lacrosse team in 2013, ranking in the top three on the team in ground balls (37) and caused turnovers (30).
