Bio

Juan Maldonado was a member of the Elms College men’s basketball team from 2006-2010.

At the time of induction, Maldonado is the men’s basketball program’s all-time leading scorer with 1,686 career points.  He owns the program records for points, field goals made (581), three-point field goal percentage (44.7) and free throw percentage (81.0). Maldonado ranks second all-time in three-point field goals made (238), free throws made (286) and games played (114).  He is third in scoring average (14.8) and steals (201), fourth in assists (312) and seventh in field goal percentage (47.7).  He also owns the single season record with 541 points during the 2007-2008 season.

Maldonado was selected as the 2010 NECC Player of the Year after averaging 17.6 points per game en route to the Blazers 2010 NECC and ECAC Championships. He took home NECC First Team selections in 2009 and 2010, along with a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) First Team selection in 2008.  Maldonado was a three-time NAC Player of the Week and a two-time NECC Player of the Week.
