Bio

Tanya St. Germain Leja was a member of both the field hockey and softball programs during her career at Elms College from 1988-1991.

A four-year player on the field hockey team, St. Germain Leja finished as one of the program's most prolific all-time scorers with 36 goals, 16 assists and 88 points.

During her sophomore season in 1989, St. Germain Leja helped lead the Blazers to a program-record 15-4-1 mark that included the school's first-ever Massachusetts Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (MAIAW) state championship.

During St. Germain's four years from 1988-1991, the field hockey team went a combined 50-21-6 (.688 winning percentage) - the most successful four-year period in program-history.

Also a three-year member of the softball team, St. Germain Leja batted .370 with 30 RBI and 41 runs scored. At the time of her induction, St. Germain Leja's .370 batting average still ranked among the top 15 all-time in team-history.
