Bio

Jill Bigos was a four-year member of the cross country program and is the current Elms Course school record holder with a time of 20:50 which was set in 2008 at the Blazers Invitational at Chicopee Memorial State Park. She also holds the school record for any 5-kilometer course which she achieved twice at the Blazers Invitational and the Western New England University Invitational, both in 2008.

As a sophomore in 2006, Bigos finished 15th overall (24:54) at the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship and helped guide the Blazers to a fifth place finish as a team. She followed that performance with a 10th place overall finish at the NAC Championship in 2007 with a time of 23:07 and was named Second Team All-NAC. As a senior, Bigos placed second overall with a time of 21:31 at the first-ever New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Championship and was named First Team All-NECC after helping Elms place third as a team.

At the time of induction, Bigos, who garnered the league’s first-ever NECC Runner of the Week award, is listed third and seventh on the Elms Course School Record list with times of 22:13 and 22:44 set respectively at the Blazers Invitationals in 2007 and 2006. She is also listed fifth, seventh and tied for eighth on the Elms’ School Record list for any 5-kilometer course. She clocked times of 21:31 at the 2008 NECC Championship; 21:41 at the 2008 James Earley Invitational; and a time of 21:50 at the 2008 UMass-Dartmouth Invitational.
