Bio

The 2003 Elms College softball team became the first Elms College athletics team to make the NCAA Division III National Championship tournament. The Blazers notched the most successful season in program history, compiling a 28-7 overall record with a 9-3 record in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) en route to a conference championship.

The members of the championship team are Rachel Bradford, Debra Boissonneault, Janelle Charette, Nicole Chartier, Natalie DaCunha, Renee Desaulniers, Tina Fontaine, Kristi Guzzo, Patricia Hay, Amanda Huston, Amy King, Athena Lane, Andrea Malloch, Cynthia Osko, Jamie Parslow, Lauren Stauch, Kristin Tassey, (manager - Kara Dupre); coached by Cheryl R. Condon and assisted by Kelly O’Connell.

During the 2003 season, Condon claimed the second of five straight NAC Coach of the Year honors, while Guzzo and Tassey were All-NAC selections; and Fontaine was named to the NCAA East Regional All-Tournament Team.
