Lewis Kick Starts First Week of the Season Tabbed as GNAC Rookie of the Week
CHICOPEE, MA - In the opening week of the Elms College Women's Basketball season, first year Jade Lewis (Orlando, FL) was named as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Rookie of the week!
After a stellar performance in her first collegiate debut on Wednesday, Nov. 8th Lewis made her presence known on the court. In the non-conference matchup against the Salem State Vikings the first year started for Elms and went on a 26 point run filling all ends of the stat sheet up. The young gaurd for the Blazers recorded 2 rebounds in the game, with 4 assists and 2 steals.
In the second contest of the week Lewis started against the Wentworth Institute of Technology Lions where she put up 8 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assists, 2 steals and a block.
The Blazers are back in action this Wednesday, Noc. 15 at Lesley where they will compete against the Lynx at 7:30PM.
