Moore and Cabrera Pinned as GNAC's Libero and Rookie of the Week

CHICOPEE, MA - For the week ending on November 5th, Senior Alyssa Moore (Ludlow, MA) and first year Samiyah Cabrera (Springfield, MA) were named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball Athlete of the Week selections!

After a stellar performance in all three matches this passed week both Blazer athletes made it easy for the GNAC Athlete of the Week selections. Elms first-year posted a double-double in all three conference matches with numbers of 17 kills and 11 digs verses the Blue Jays, finishing up the week on Saturday with 13 kills and 11 digs against the AMCATS and 14 kills and 23 digs to the Raiders in the conference tri-match. This is Cabrera's second Rookie of the Week selection in the 2023 season.

Senior, Alyssa Moore posted double-digit dig numbers in all of the conference matches recording 28 against USJ, followed by 29 and 25 in the tri-match with Anna Maria and Rivier. Moore also added assists in all three matches adding to her outstanding performance as the libero for the Blazers. 

Moore closed out her collegiate career over the weekend with a total number of 795 digs, 213 sets, and 127 assists.
