Women's Volleyball Receives AVCA/USMC Team Academic Award

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Elms College women's volleyball team earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association/United States Marine Corps Team Academic Award, it was announced by the AVCA. 

The award, initiated in the 1992–93 academic year, honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale.

The Blazers earned a team GPA of 3.41 for the 2022-23 academic year and boasted five student-athletes with a 3.5 or better GPA, including four Elms women's volleyball players with a perfect 4.0 for the year. 

Elms finished the season with a 12-17 overall record, including 8-5 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference play. Two members of the squad were also named to the GNAC Academic All-Conference Team.
