Six ECFH Players Named as NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad

GENEVA, N.Y. — Over 1,700 student-athletes from 157 Division III institutions have been named to the 2022 NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad, as well as more than 470 student-athletes have been recognized as NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction; the Elms College Field Hockey Program included six of those honored with two also being honored for Scholar of Distinction as well.

Student-Athletes must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher for National Academic Squad. Senior Katie Jones (San Diego, CA) was named on the National Academic Squad for the fourth year in a row, Jones is one of 277 Student- Athletes to be named all four years of her academic career within Division III Athletics. First years Kaitlyn Lynes (South Hadley, MA), Elizabeth Franzoni (Rutland, VT), and Abbie Serziego (South Hadley, MA) all were named to the National Academic Squad after their first semester. 

Along with being named to the National Academic Squad both Junior Samantha Bonneau (Skowhegan, ME) and first year Sandlie Moncher (Hackettstown, NJ) earned a grade point average of 3.9 or higher being named to the National Honors of Distinction for the 2022 season.
