Elms College Athletics Spectator Policy

Chicopee, MA – Elms College continues to monitor developments with COVID-19 and take measures that safeguard its campus community.

At this time, Elms College and the athletic department does not plan to limit spectator attendance for Leary Field or Picknelly Arena for the fall semester. Face coverings will be required by all spectators (vaccinated and unvaccinated) for all indoor venues (volleyball and basketball) and any indoor spaces on campus. Face coverings are strongly encouraged for unvaccinated spectators at all outdoor facilities and on campus. 

*All indoor spectators are required to fill out a Healthy Roster form before entering any of the Elms College facilities.

In alignment with ongoing commitments to prioritizing the health and well-being of student-athletes the conference office, institutional leadership and the athletic department will continue to monitor developments related to COVID, and all policies are subject to change.

The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) recently announced that the member institutions are elated to resume a full schedule of exciting NCAA Division III competition this fall. The GNAC Presidents' Council has approved updated COVID-19 protocols for GNAC conference and non-conference competition for the fall 2021 season. 

We reserve the right to remove any spectators who are non-compliant with our spectator policies. The athletic administrator in charge of the athletic event will be responsible. The athletic department will reserve the right to limit the number of spectators at the athletic venues based on the current COVID guidelines from NCAA, The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC), CDC and state guidelines.
