Women’s and Men’s Cross Country Compete At NCAA Regionals

Brunswick, ME – The Elms College women's and men's cross country competed at the NCAA Regionals over the weekend at Bowdoin College. The meet was comprised of the top programs and runners in the region.

The women's team finished 48th overall at the regional meet. Margaret Mathon (Williston, VT) had the best individual time for Blazers crossing the finish line in 279th place with a time of 26:48.7. Tyana Medina (Springfield, MA) came in 308th with a time of (27:52.6). Julia Trezza (Wilbraham, MA) came in right behind Madina in 310th place with a time of (27:58.6). Emily Guillerault (East Granby, CT) and Keara Moulton (Ashburnham, MA) finished in 314th and 316th respectively.

The men's team would finish 53rd overall on the day. Ricky Elmer (Chicopee, MA) would have the best day for the Blazers finishing in 250th with a time of 29:01.1. Rich Hernandez (North Branford, CT) would finish his Blazer career with a solid time of 31:08 and place in 330th. Brendan Curley (Chicopee, MA) and Donald Cianciolo (Waterbury, CT) would finish in 362nd and 369th respectively.
