Blazers Sweep Linx In NECC Action

Medford, MA – The Elms College women's volleyball team picked up a conference win on the road at Lesley University on Saturday afternoon. The Blazers won in straight sets with scores of (25-12, 25-8, and 25-18). With the win Elms improves to 13-8 overall and 3-1 in conference play.

The first set started out with the two teams exchanging points. The Blazers would take a 5-4 lead on a kill from Laura Jensen (Torrance CA), and go on a 14 point run and eventually take the set 25-12.

The second set was dominated by the Blazers from start to finish, the visitors would take the set 25-8.

The final set was much more competitive with back and forth action. The Blazers would take control of the set and take it 25-18, and the match 3-0.

Elms would have 10 different players register a kill in the match with Jaylianne Ramos (Toa Alta, P.R.) leading the way with seven. Dakota Stewart (Victoria, TX) was the assists leader with 15, Kianna Lozada (Bayamon, P.R.) led the team with 22 digs.

Elms is back on the court on Saturday 10/26 when they travel to New England College at 1PM for an NECC match.
