Blazer Swimming Falls At Home To UMass Dartmouth

CHICOPEE, Mass. – The Elms College men's and women's swim teams each fell against UMass Dartmouth at Partyka Natatorium on Saturday afternoon. The Blazer men dropped a 168-74 decision while the women lost 158-98.

Eddie Capoldo (Brunswick, Maine) dominated for the Blazer men. Capoldo won all three individual events he raced, capturing 27 of the team's 74 points. He won the 100-meter butterfly (1:04.40), 100m breast (1:16.14) and 50m butterfly (28.56) and also helped the Blazers add two points in the 200m freestyle relay (1:58.83).

Brittany North (Palmer, Mass.) led the Blazer women with 22 individual points. North won the 100m fly (1:20.05) and 100m backstroke (1:17.47) and took second in the 400m freestyle (5:23.41).

Kelly Scianna (Milford, Conn.) added three second-place finishes for 12 individual points for the Blazer women. She was the runner up in three sprints, including the 50m backstroke (35.37), 50m freestyle (30.39) and 50m butterfly (34.42).

The Blazers return to action at Regis College on Dec. 1.
