Chicopee, MA – The Elms College Women's Lacrosse team was in action on Monday night hosting Western New England University in non-conference action.
The Blazers got off to a great start scoring a goal in the opening minute when Haley Richard (Monson, MA) buried a free position shot. The two teams would then exchange goals leaving the Blazers with a 2-1 lead. The Golden Bears would then go on to score 14 of the next 17 goals and take a 15-5 lead into the half.
Western New England would start the second half netting three consecutive goals pulling ahead 18-5. Elese Ciarcia (Glastonbury, CT) would find the back of the net at the 18:10 mark of the half and Richard would put in her third goal at the 15:49 mark for the Blazers; however, it wouldn't be enough to overcome the deficit.
