Providence, RI – The Elms College Women's Lacrosse team dropped an away game at Rhode Island College on Wednesday 16-5.
The Blazers dug themselves a deep hole allowing the Anchormen to jump out to a 7-0 lead. Elms would answer back with goals from Haley Richard (Monson, MA) and Elese Ciarcia (Glastonbury, CT) but would take a 10-2 deficit into the half.
Elms struggled to find their legs and were outscored 6-3 in the second half and would eventually lose the game 16-5.
Emily Hubber (Jefferson, ME) had a personal best 21 saves in the loss for the Blazers.
Elms hosts Mitchell College on Saturday at 11 a.m. in NECC play.
