WBCA Recognizes Top Classroom Performance with 2010 Academic Top 25

The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced its winners for the 2009-10 Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll. This award, given in NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA and Junior College/Community College, awards teams throughout the nation that carry the highest grade point averages (GPA) for the entire season based on the nomination submitted by WBCA-member head coaches.

Elms College sophomore point guard Carolyn Talmadge (Wilbraham, Mass.) netted a team-high 12 points but No. 2 Lesley University received a 28-point effort from Hailee Lowe (Hamilton, Mass.) to help lift the Lynx to a 76-46 victory over the fourth-seeded Blazers in the Saturday afternoon’s championship game of the 2009-10 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) women’s basketball tournament.
