Boston, MA – The Elms College Softball team was on the road for a conference doubleheader on Sunday at Lesley University.
Game 1 – Elms 8, Lesley 0 in 6 innings
The Blazers bats caught fire in the top of the 2nd inning scoring four runs when Katelyn Sylvia (Southwick, MA) stepped into the batter's box and crushed a grand slam. Elms would add two runs in the 3rd and the 5th innings and go on to take the win 8-0 in six innings.
Jeszy McGuire (Brimfield, MA) pitched in with 2 hits. Lisa Lusardi (Enfield, CT) scattered 4 hits over 5 innings to pick up the win for the Blazers.
Game 2 – Lesley 8, Elms 1
The Lynx put up four runs in the 3rd and 2 more in the 4th on the way to an 8-1 win. The Blazers could only manage two hits in the game and would go on to lose 8-1.
Tyla Risucci (Watertown, MA) and Madison Messier (Warren, MA) each had a hit on the day.
Lisa Lusardi (Enfield, CT) would take the loss for the Blazers.
The Blazers are on the road on Thursday when they travel to Dean College for a conference doubleheader at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
