Women’s and Men’s Cross Country Compete At NCAA Regionals

The Elms College women’s and men’s cross country competed at the NCAA Regionals over the weekend at Bowdoin College. The meet was comprised of the top programs and runners in the region.
Elmer Takes Top Spot At NECC Championships

The men’s 8,000 meter race was the first of the day with the start-time temperature hovering in the high 40’s. Ricky Elmer (Chicopee, MA) topped his fourth-place finish from a year ago to earn the 2019 NECC Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Year, easily finishing first overall at 27:43; it took 1:13 for the next competitor to come across the line.
