Elms Swimming Downed At Regis

WESTON, Mass. -- The Elms College men's and women's swim teams both fell at Regis College on Saturday, with the Blazer men falling 126-99 and the women losing by a score of 176-82.

Brittany North led the Blazer women with two second-place individual finishes, taking second in the 50-yard back (32.62) and 100-yard back (1:09.32). North also finished third in the 50-yard butterfly (30.42). Kelly Scianna took first in the 200-yard freestyle (2:09.56), ahead of teammate Julianne Gordon,who finished second in 2:18.50.

Eddie Capoldo helped the Elms men with first-place finishes in the 100-yard freestyle (52.52) and 100-yard butterfly (58.36) and a second-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle (5:24.62). Mike Losardo also helped the men's cause with second-place finishes in the 1650-yard freestyle (19:18.99) and 50-yard free (25.90), and a third-place finish in the 50-yard butterfly (29.02).

Elms will return home for its final dual meet of the season against the University of New England on Jan. 26.
