Men's Basketball Win Streak Ends At Three After

FRANKLIN, Mass. – The Elms College men's basketball team had its three-game winning streak snapped on Tuesday, falling 97-71 at Dean College in New England Collegiate Conference play.

Justin Feliciano (Springfield, Mass.) and Kewan Smoot (Windsor, Conn.) each scored 19 points to lead the Blazers (3-11, 2-4 NECC). Feliciano hit 4-of-5 3-pointers and added six assists. Smoot, meanwhile, hit 8-of-10 from the field and grabbed four rebounds. Nikolas Brown (Wellington, Fla.) added 11 points for Elms.

Four of Dean's five starters scored 17 or more points, led by a 28-point performance from Dayvon Russell. Armani Baker added 21 points for the Bulldogs (10-4, 5-1 NECC), while Jordan Booker had 19 and Josh Croskey added 17.

Dean attempted 13 more shots than the Blazers after winning the turnover battle, 24-9, and the battle on the glass, 44-40. Elms was averaging just 15.7 turnovers per game in its previous three games.

The Blazers return home for four of their next five games, including three straight, beginning Jan. 17 against Becker. Dean will visit Eastern Nazarene on Jan. 17,
