NECC Tabs Feliciano As Men's Hoops Rookie Of The Week

MARSHFIELD, Mass. – After propelling Elms to three consecutive wins in a five-day span, Blazer freshman Justin Feliciano was honored as the New England Collegiate Conference Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Week, the league announced on Monday.

Feliciano averaged 14.3 points per game to help the Blazers pick up wins over Lesley, Norwich and Newbury. The Springfield, Mass., native scored a season-high 25 points in a conference win at Newbury, and converted a pair of free throws late in the second half that tied the game and forced overtime.

Feliciano scored 13 points and added six assists and four rebounds against Lesley. In addition to his 14.3 points, he averaged 4.7 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game during the week.

Feliciano is the third Blazer to earn NECC Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Week honor this season, joining Will Leach (Nov. 19) and Tyler Barney (Dec. 3).
