Farmington, ME – The Elms College field hockey team dropped a tough NECC game 2-1 in overtime on the road at the University of Maine Farmington on Saturday afternoon. The loss puts Elms at 4-13 overall and 1-5 in conference play.
The Beavers broke the 0-0 tie 10 minutes into the second half after a Kasey Talarico had a solid pass for Alex Bessey to finish it off for a 1-0 lead.Midway through the fourth quarter, Carissa Ramirez (San Diego, CA) tied the game at 1-1 with an unassisted goal.
Early into the overtime, Bessey scored her second goal of the game to give the Beavers a 2-1 OT victory.
Nora Newman (Woburn, MA) made four saves in goal for Elms.
The Blazers are back in action on Tuesday 10/29 at 7PM when they host Becker College in a big NECC game.
