Field Hockey Handles Albertus Magnus

New Haven, CT – The Elms College Field Hockey team won big on Saturday, defeating Albertus Magnus College 7-0 on the road.

The Blazers would dominate the action from start to finish, having their best offensive production of the season. Elms would jump out to a 4-0 lead in the opening quarter. The Blazers held a large advantage in every stat column, outshooting the Falcons 35-3 and in corners 20-4.

The offense came from multiple players, with seven different Blazers finding the back of the cage. Brittany North (Palmer, MA) would lead the way with two goals. Elizabeth Collins (Enfield, CT), Madison Gabel (Agawam, MA), Elli Serra (Palmer, MA ) and Francesca Davitt (East Longmeadow, MA) would all pitch in with a goal apiece. Carissa Ramirez (San Diego, CA) had a big day with seven shots on goal and two assists.

Nora Newman stopped the two shots she faced to preserve the shutout for the Blazers.

Elms is back in action on Wednesday 9/11 when they host Sage College for their home opener.
