Blazer Cross Country Competes in WNE Invitational

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- The Elms College women's cross country team finished 10th out of 12 and the men finished 12th of 14 at the Western New England Invitational on Saturday.

Donald Cianciolo and Ricky Elmer were the top two Blazer finishers on the men's side, taking 73rd and 74th place in the 134-person race, respectively. Cianciolo finished the 8k course in 31:26, one second ahead of Elmer.

Emily Guillerault led the Blazer women, finishing 61st in the 122-woman race. She ran the 6k course in 26:44. Tyana Medina finished second among Blazer women and 65th overall in 26:56.

The Blazers have two weeks before the New England Collegiate Conference championships on Oct. 27.
