Elmer, Guillerault Pick Up NECC Honors

MARSHFIELD, Mass. -- Elms College cross country freshman Ricky Elmer and junior Emily Guillerault were honored with New England Collegiate Conference weekly awards, the league announced on Monday.

Elmer (Chicopee, Mass.) was selected as the conference’s Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week and the Rookie of the Week, while Guillerault was chosen as the NECC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Elmer finished 27th in the “Blue” race at the James Earley Invitational over the weekend. He completed the 8k course in 30:06.24.

Guillerault (East Granby, Conn.) finished 54th in the women’s “Blue” race at the same meet, completing the 5k course in 22:18.61.
