#3 Blazers To Host #6 Bulldogs In 1st Round Of NECC Playoffs
Chicopee, MA – The Elms College women's volleyball team will host Dean College on Tuesday night at 7PM at Picknelly Arena, in a first round New England Collegiate Conference playoff game. The Blazers finished the regular season 15-9 overall and 5-2 in NECC play. Elms swept Dean in straight sets during the season with set scores of (25-13, 25-14, and 25-19).
The Blazers will rely on the play of NECC Defensive Player of the Year Kianna Lozada (Bayamon, P.R.), NECC Rookie of the Year Natalie Caraballo (Farjardo, P.R.), and NECC 1st team selection Dakota Stewart (Victoria, TX) to lead them in the post season.
"Very excited to be playing in the post season this year. It will be one of the most competitive post seasons in NECC WVB history. We need to work on playing "cleaner" consistent volleyball. We have had trouble at the net this season. If we can limit our negative errors there and stay disciplined on our block, we can give our offense more opportunities to score rather than giving easy points to our opponents" said Coach Gisbrecht of the post season.
