Women’s Volleyball Dominates Dean

Chicopee MA – The Elms College women's volleyball team defeated the visiting Dean College Bulldogs in straight sets on Wednesday night. The Blazers won with set scores of (25-13, 25-14, and 25-19).

Elms would never trail in the opening set, the closest the Bulldogs would get was 12-8. A kill from Natalia Caraballo (Fajardo, P.R.) would spark a seven point run by the Blazers, and lead to a 25-13 set win. The second set would see Elms pull away again and never trail, eventually taking the middle set 25-14.  Dean would try and battle back in the third set. With the score tied up 10-10, Caraballo will get a kill and spark a Blazer run that would see Elms score 15 of the next eighth points and win the set and the match.

Elms would have 11 different players register a kill with Caraballo leading the way with 11. Govanna Rosado (Humaco, P.R.) would have a double –double in the match with 20 assists and 11 digs.

The Blazers rap up regular season play on Saturday 11/2 when they host Bay Path University at 11AM.
