Coach Gisbrecht Picks up 100th Career Win In Season Opener

Chicopee MA - The Elms College Women's Volleyball team opened up their 2019 season with a 3-1 victory over the visiting Falcons of Albertus Magnus.  The win gives Coach Sheila Gisbrecht her 100^th career win at the helm of the Blazers.  Elms won 25-14, 25-16, 18-25, 25-14 and are (1-0) on the young season.

The Blazers would have 11 different players register a kill in the match with Natalia Caraballo (Arlington, TX) leading the way with 11. Laura Jensen (Torrance, CA ) and Alanys Cruz (Humacao,P.R.) would also combine for 15 kills on the day.

Dakota Stewart (Arrlington, TX) and Gavanna Rosado (Humaco, P.R) lead the way with 19 and 13 assists respectively. Kianna Lozada (Bayamon, P.R.) was busy all day collecting 16 digs for the Blazers. Elms would end up with 11 different players registering a dig in the match.

The Blazers are back in action tomorrow morning and again in the afternoon when they take on Suny Cobleskill at 9:30AM and Oswego State at 1:30PM to wrap up the Blazer Invitational.
