Volleyball Win Streak Snapped At ENC

QUINCY, Mass. -- The Elms College women's volleyball team saw its eight-match win streak snapped on Saturday as Eastern Nazarene dealt the Blazers a 3-0 loss in New England Collegiate Conference play.

ENC won 25-16, 25-16, 25-19 to hand Elms its first loss since Sept. 15. The Blazers drop to 14-4 overall and 5-1 in the NECC while ENC improves to 14-5 overall and 5-0 in league play.

The Blazers had as many kills as hitting errors in the contest, 26 of each, to hit .000 while the Lions hit .184. Danielle Redding led Elms with nine kills and Ayanna Meadows added eight. Dakota Stewart had 22 assists for the Blazers and Kianna Lozada tallied 17 digs.

The Blazers will return to Chicopee for their final three home matches of the season, hosting Southern Vermont (Oct. 17), Mount Holyoke (Oct. 19) and Dean (Oct. 25). ENC will visit Newbury on Oct. 17.
