CHICOPEE, MA, Sept. 20, 2007 - Elms College freshman outside hitter Jeannette Nunez (Canovanas, Puerto Rico) recorded a match-high 13 kills and 14 digs, but Mount Holyoke junior outside hitter Chelsea Tracy (St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands) had 12 kills to help pace the Lyons to a 3-0 (30-25, 30-26, 30-27) win over the Blazers in Thursday night's non-conference women's volleyball match at the Maguire Center.

Mount Holyoke snapped a three-match losing streak and improved to 2-3 overall. Elms College fell to 2-4 with the loss.

Junior opposite Amanda Trask (Brockton, MA) added eight kills, junior libero Kathryne Schwartz (Ridgewood, NJ) collected a team-high 14 digs and senior setter Rachel West (St. Paul, MN) handed out a match-high 28 assists for the Lyons, who improved to 8-0 all-time against the Blazers.

Sophomore middle hitter Melissa Clark (Chicopee, MA) knocked down nine kills and sophomore setter Kim Phillips (Randolph, MA) added 24 assists and 10 digs for Elms College in the loss.

The Blazers return to North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play with a tri-match at Bay Path on Saturday, September 22. Elms College will face host Bay Path and Maine Maritime Academy.
