Women’s Soccer Has Five Game Unbeaten Streak Snapped At Clark

Worcester, MA – The Elms College Women's soccer team suffered a 3-0 setback on Tuesday night at Clark University. With the loss the Blazers slip to 6-3-1 on the season.

The first half would see back and forth action with most of the play in the middle of the field. Neither team got any real chances until the final minute of the opening frame. Jordan Bailey (Monson, MA) would collect a loose ball and rip a shot from 30 yards out that beat the Cougars keeper, but sailed just over the crossbar.

Clark would come out in the second half and control the play. The Cougars were able to break open the scoring off of a corner at the 55:40 mark, the hosts would double their lead in the 64th minute on a converted penalty kick.

Elms was unable to produce any chances as Clark continued to carry the play. The Cougars would put the game away in the 75th minute with their third goal of the game and take the win 3-0.

Bailey would lead the Blazers in shots, Becca Molin (West Hartford, CT) was big registering eight saves in the game.

Elms is back in action on Sunday 9/29 when they travel to Roger Williams University at 1PM for a non-conference game.
