Mick Receives NEWISA Senior Bowl Invite
CHICOPEE, Mass. – Elms College senior Rachel Mick (Granby, Mass.) was been invited to participate in the 2016 New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) Senior Bowl, in an announcement from the association Wednesday. The Senior Bowl, consisting of the region's top seniors, will be hosted by Merrimack College at Martone-Mejail Field on Saturday, December 3rd at 2:00 p.m.
As a senior, Mick was one of three Blazers to start all 23 games this season, recording a career-high 10 points on a career-high four goals, including one game-winner, with two assists. A 2016 Team Captain, Mick received All-New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Third Team honors, to pair with a Second Team selection after the 2014 season.
"I'm super happy for [Rachel], she definitely deserves it," said Elms College Head Coach Sean Milbier. "She does a lot of the dirty work and doesn't always show up on the stat sheet, and doesn't get the accolades she deserves, but for her to get this, I couldn't be happier for her."
