Angelina Estrada Named NECC Player of the Week

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Elms College junior Angelina Estrada (Springfield, Mass.) was recognized as the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Women's Soccer Player of the Week, announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

Estrada delivered six points during a pair of shutout victories for the Blazers last week. Estrada tallied the game-winning strike in the 89th minute of play to send Elms to a 1-0 win over Clark, followed by a four-point day in a 6-0 thumping of Becker. Against Becker, Estrada assisted the game-winning goal, and then provided a goal and an assist in the second half to seal the victory over the Hawks.

Estrada and the Blazers will return to the field when Elms hosts Westfield State in non-conference action at Leary Field Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m.
