ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Elms College sophomore Brie Voight (Springfield, Mass.) was named the first New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the 2015 season, released by the conference office Monday afternoon. This is Voight's first NECC Player of the Week award.

Voight racked up five points in a pair of victories for the Blazers to kick off the 2015 campaign. In a 3-2 win over Rhode Island College, Voight broke a 1-1 scoreless tie to record her first career goal with the Blazers. Voight was crucial to Elms' 2-1 victory over Albertus Magnus, netting the first goal of the game, followed by delivering the assist on the game-winner from sophomore Mackenzie LaRochelle (Chicopee, Mass.).

Voight and the Blazers will look to continue their hot start with a road trip to MCLA Tuesday afternoon. Kickoff is slated for 4:30 p.m.
