WOMEN'S LACROSSE FALLS TO WNEC, 23-2 

SPRINGFIELD, MA, April 3, 2007 - Elms College junior attack wing Caitlin Childs (Hingham, MA) netted a pair of goals, but Western New England College (WNEC) netted 15 first half goals en route to a 23-2 win over the Blazers in Tuesday afternoon's New England Women's Lacrosse Alliance (NEWLA) game at Golden Bear Stadium.

Elms College, which was playing its NEWLA opener, fell to 0-2 overall. The win was the third straight for the Golden Bears (4-3), who went over the .500 mark for the first time this season while remaining unbeaten in the NEWLA (2-0).

Sophomore goalkeeper Alicia Bobbie (Higganum, CT) stopped 15 shots for the Blazers in the loss.
