Women’s Basketball Comes Up Short At Mitchell

New London, CT – The Elms College women's basketball team dropped a New England Collegiate Conference road game 68-56 at Mitchell College on Saturday afternoon. The loss puts the Blazers at 4-10 overall and 1-3 in conference play on the season.

A big first quarter provided the home side with a 10 point lead that proved to be the difference in the game. The Blazers would cut into the lead with a strong second quarter, trailing 35-26 at the break.

Elms pulled to within six midway through the third quarter, but that would be as close as the Blazers would get.   

Lashaunte White (Miami, FL) paced Elms with 15 points on 5-for-9 shooting. Regina LeBlanc (Enfield, CT) also finished in double figures with 12 points.

Elms is back in action on Tuesday 1/14 when they travel to Bay Path University at 8PM in NECC play.
