Blazer Women Dominate At Bay Path

HOLYOKE, Mass. -- A complete team effort from the Elms College women's basketball team resulted in an 80-33 win over Bay Path University on Saturday afternoon.

Fifteen different players scored for Elms (9-8, 5-5 New England Collegiate Conference), including three who reached double figures.Molly Moulton (North Adams, Mass.) led that trio with 15 points and Angelica Peguero-Flores (Springfield, Mass.) added 12 points and nine rebounds. Shannon Cullen (Brookfield, Conn.) added 10 points in just nine minutes off the bench, going 4-for-4 from the field.

As a team, the Blazers shot 45.5 percent (35-of-77) from the field and out-rebounded the Wildcats (1-13, 0-9 NECC) 43-30. The Blazers finished with 19 assists on 35 made field goals, and committed just 15 turnovers in the game, missing their season-low by just one.

Emmeline Bronson led Bay Path with 21 points, going 13-for-17 from the field, and Samantha Drapinski grabbed 10 rebounds.

Both teams return to action on Jan. 22, as Elms will host Lesley and Bay Path visits Eastern Nazarene.
