Women’s Basketball Helps Create Shopping Experience for Senior Citizens at Western Mass. Food Bank

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Elms College women's basketball team donated their time during the Winter intersession at the Western Mass. Food Bank helping to create a "shopping experience" for senior citizens.

The effort was made following the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) initiative that raised over $1,000 in December.

Members of the Blazers' women's basketball team helped clean, organize and stock shelves in the food pantry in order to create a grocery store type atmosphere and give senior citizens a shopping experience.
