Softball Knocked Out Of Playoffs At Lesley

Revere, MA – The Elms College Softball team traveled to Lesley University on Tuesday night for their first round NECC playoff game. The Blazers would have chances and battled hard but would see their season come to an end in the 3-1 loss.

Elms was able to take an early lead, scoring a run in the top of the 1st inning when Emily Dorosh (Litchfield, CT) singled up the middle pushing Katelyn Silvia (Southwick, MA) across the plate.

The Lynx would string together three hits in the bottom of the 3rd inning and tie things up 1-1. Lesley would pull ahead 3-1 in the 4th on two solo home runs.

The Blazers would load the bases in the top of the 5th and 7th innings but were unable to get a big hit and push any runs in.  

Sylvia would pick up two hits in the game, Dorosh and Tea Sullivan (Dracut, MA) had a hit apiece.

Jordan Day would get the win and Jen Thorburn picked up a save for the Lynx. Lisa Lusardi (Enfield, CT) would take the loss for the Blazers.

Elms finishes the season 12-22-1 overall and 8-8 in conference.
