CHICOPEE, Mass. – The Elms College softball team evened its New England Collegiate Conference record with a pair of dominant victories over Southern Vermont at Condon Field on Saturday afternoon. The Blazers absolutely tattooed the ball on their way to a 21-0 win to open the day before picking up a 7-1 win to sweep the double-header.

GAME 1 – Elms 21, SVC 0
The Blazers (6-11, 3-3 NECC) racked up 15 hits and took advantage of three Mountaineer errors in a convincing 21-0 victory. After a quick first inning Elms put the game out of reach with seven runs in the second and 11 in the third. The Blazers added three in the fourth while pitcher Lisa Lusardi shut SVC (1-17, 1-5) out for five innings for the win.

Lusardi struck out three SVC batters and scattered four hits in the shutout victory.

GAME 2 – Elms 7, SVC 1
Elizabeth Olszewski's two-run home-run in the bottom of the first inning proved to be all the offense Elms needed to pick up its third NECC win of the season. Nevertheless, the Blazers added five more runs in the bottom of the fourth to cruise to a 7-1 win.

The Blazers got six hits from six different players while Olszewski, Wrang and Raeanna Tumel each drove in a pair of runs.
